Why I Never Call on Monday Morning
This may sound obvious, but I never call people on Monday morning.
No matter what you do, unless you specifically make an effort to keep Monday mornings free…they tend to be a storm of activity. Things get lost in the cracks and messages get misplaced.
It’s one of the reasons most experts recommend not sending business newsletters on Monday morning.
If you’re lucky enough to have Monday mornings free, enjoy it, take a break. Don’t start calling others and assuming they’ll have time to talk, unless you know for sure or have an appointment on that day.
Come to think of it, I don’t schedule client meetings on Monday either. Same reason - it’s just too hectic and the other person will not (in most cases) be as aware as they would be at the same time on another day.
