People are Less Likely to Steal from you In Person

by Jennifer Gniadecki on July 1st, 2008

No, really.

Phishing e-mails, Twitter scammers, phone calls from people that aren’t your credit card company…all these are dangerous.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there are human beings behind all of those cons and those humans are pretty much conscience-free scumbags.

But when you decide to do business through networking, there are less opportunities to be scammed, because you can ask around about someone before you work with them. Finding people who have used the company before is a snap and you can go into a business relationship with confidence.

Someone looking you in the eye and telling you what a good job someone did for them is so much more powerful than a testimonial on a website that may or may not be real.
