Blog Off Guest Post – Bar JD Communications
When we roll out of our bunk in the morning, we need to know the rest of the day is all about networking. Some of it will be deliberate…mixers at meetings, calls and communication with associates and prospects. But, when we make a payment at the bank, buy groceries, mail a package, post at a forum or write content for our website – make contact in any manner with other people, we are building on our network of people who know us. People who will remember how we affected them and who will act on their first impressions to either hire us or skip over us.
We are sometimes inclined to dodge situations that we have been taught are "networking" because we are concerned we won’t know how to do it right. I maintain that moving within the population with respect, civility and an awareness of the value of my service is an electrically charged networking experience that has been highly effective for me, with very little hard core marketing effort. Just be nice.
